Scope

These terms and conditions govern any orders made in connection with the website (roberthesketh.co.uk).  Please read them carefully.

• You agree to be bound by these Terms by placing orders using and/or by making purchases via the Website.
• Do not place orders using, or make purchases in connection with, the website if you do not agree to these Terms.
• Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.
• The website and the information contained in it may be supplemented, removed, changed and/or updated without notice to you.
• All changes will be effective when posted on the website.

Your responsibilities

• By placing an order through the Website, you warrant me that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring that the details that you provide are correct and complete and for informing me of any changes to them.
• You will only use the website in accordance with the Terms stated here.

Ordering

The format will be familiar to you if you have ordered items online before. To select products to order, simply click on the +basket button against the appropriate book title and choose the relevant format from the dropdown menu.

Use the basket to see the contents of your shopping basket. When you have finished shopping, please click on ‘Checkout’. To place an order, you will need to fill in billing address, shipping address (which you can copy from billing address with a single click), shipping option (see delivery charges), and credit card details. You will also be able to determine whether your address is saved for your next visit.

• Check all the details of your order (if you need to change anything, click any of the ‘Edit’ buttons next to the component you need to change). Click ‘Proceed to PayPal’ to place your order.

Your account

• Once you have set up an account by ordering a book, your account details will be kept securely if you have chosen for me to do so. All you need to do is visit the ‘Log in’ menu, and then log in by entering your email address and password.
• If you have forgotten your password, click on ‘Forgot password’ to reset your password and have it sent to you.

What are my payment options?

This site uses PayPal, an independent payment service provider, to process credit and debit card payments. I accept payment by PayPal, or using the following credit cards:

• Visa
• Visa Debit
• Mastercard
• American Express

If you have a PayPal account, then you can pay using your normal log-in details. Otherwise you may pay using your credit / debit card. Again, the format will be familiar if you have ordered online before. As well as selecting card type, you will need to fill in your credit card number, expiry date, and the name and address of the card holder. You may be asked for the CSC code, this is the final three digits of the long number on the signature strip on the back of your card or four digits on the front for American Express.

Safe shopping

I take your online privacy seriously.  However, the security of any payments transmitted and processed via the internet cannot be guaranteed. Any losses incurred or sustained by you as a result of transmitting information by means of email or other internet link will be borne solely and exclusively by you.

Prices

• Every effort is made to ensure that all prices are correct at time of display online.
• Please note that second editions of my early books may be priced differently from the first editions

Out of stock titles

There are ample stocks of all books on this website.  In the unlikely event of books being out of stock, I will cancel your order and make a full refund.

Acknowledging your order

Your order constitutes an offer. Once you have placed your order with me, I will acknowledge it by email to you using the address you supplied when placing your order.

Delivery

• I can deliver to any address in the United Kingdom.
• Once I have sent an order confirmation to you, I will endeavour to deliver it within five working days, but in any event within 30 days.  However, I do not have responsibility for any delivery failures that are beyond my reasonable control.

Right to Cancel

You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you (or a third party other than the carrier) acquire physical possession of the books or CDs.

• To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform me by making a clear statement in writing or by email.

Effects of Cancellation

If you cancel this contract, I will reimburse you for your order, including the costs of delivery, provided that the books or CDs are returned unmarked and undamaged, without undue delay and not later than 14days after your cancellation.  However, you will have to bear the postage charges in returning the order.
